Well we shot our last wedding for the 2017 wedding season! Don’t worry, there’s plenty more for 2018 and we’re so excited for the brides we’ve booked for next year! But our 2017 season is over. We’re getting ready for baby boy who will be here in less than 2 months!!! We’re so excited!

This wedding couldn’t have been more perfect though! AJ and Corbin have been so amazing to work with! We’ve had the best time with them! The day of their wedding was supposed to be HOT! And ya’ll it really, really was. The temperature was 96 but with the humidity it felt worse than that! Usbec and I prepared the week before by drinking a ton of water, stocking up on vitamin waters, gatorades, and those little hand held fans. Then when we got to the wedding, they had ice packs, waters, and more fans for everyone. So, honestly even though it was incredibly hot, we were well taken care of!

We found this little room for the detail shots that was perfect!! It had beautiful light, a clean background, and was just big enough for the first look, a few bride and groom portraits, and even a few bridesmaids photos! That saved us from being out in the hot sun for the entire day and it helped so, so much. Plus, if you know me, you know I’ll choose outdoor locations over indoor locations any day, but this room was PERFECT!! Even if the weather had been mild and cool I still would have made use of this room. It made for some really beautiful photos!

My favorite part about AJ and Corbin’s wedding day was the reception. The mother son dance with Corbin and his mom was the best I’ve ever seen!!! They started out with a slower dance and then the music changed and they danced to snippets of a few popular dance songs. AJ told me Corbin’s family liked to dance but I was not prepared for their awesome dance moves!! It was such a fun reception to shoot! AJ’s dad also gave a speech during the reception that had everyone there in tears. He talked about how he and his wife had prayed for AJ’s husband her whole life and how Corbin was everything they had ever prayed for and more. It could have been just the pregnancy hormones, but I was teary eyed throughout his whole speech! It was the sweetest one I think I’ve ever heard and I left the wedding that night thanking God that I get to work with such beautiful, Christ centered families.

AJ and Corbin, we’ve had the best time with you guys! We are so excited for you and what the future holds for you! Congratulations!
