If you follow me on Instagram (@melindashereephotography), then you heard me talk a little about Cooper’s Cove at Heritage Park this morning. We first heard about Cooper’s Cove in 2017 when a couple booked us and that was their wedding venue. We didn’t get to actually see the venue until their wedding day but we instantly fell in love! Cooper’s Cove is located in Townsend, TN so it’s surrounded by mountain views. That isn’t the only thing that makes Cooper’s Cove one of our favorite Tennessee wedding venues though!
First, the owners are amazing!! Renee and her husband go above and beyond for their couples, the guests, and the wedding vendors. They were so hospitable, so welcoming, and incredibly helpful and thoughtful! I was 5 months pregnant when we photographed there the first time and they were seriously there every time we turned around offering us water or anything else we could have needed. Usbec and I appreciated their thoughtfulness so much!
Secondly, I love the bridal suite!! At Brittany’s wedding, she and the girls got ready in one room that was huge! They had so much space! When it came time for Brittany to get into her dress though, she wanted a room with window light and a room that was clean (she had obviously been reading my blog! ;)) She knew a clean room with window light would allow us to get the most beautiful photos, so we went around the corner to a separate room that hadn’t been used and she got into her dress there. We were able to get gorgeous, distraction free photos, and then when she stepped outside her girls were waiting and we did a first look with them. It was beautiful!
We also love Cooper’s Cove for their different areas you can use. They’ve got a pavilion where you could set up a reception, Cooper’s Cove that’s beside of a gorgeous willow tree and a pond with cattails, and then there’s Sydni’s Point that sits in a field with beautiful views all around!
We really loved the landscaping, too! We used so many different areas for Brittany and Gordon’s wedding. Family formals were in one spot and then we did bridal party in 2 different spots, and bride and groom photos all around the venue. It’s such a gorgeous venue and I loved that we were able to create a timeline for their day that allowed us to get so many different shots in several different areas!
If you’re planning your wedding, we’d recommend checking out Cooper’s Cove! You won’t be disappointed! We get to photograph a wedding there again this May and we can’t wait!!
